They plead to revoke their imminent displacement, stating that due their imports, the number of Karakul sheep in Iran has risen from “nearly zero to 600.000”. The letter closes as follows: “we have not refrained from giving everything, our hearts have not cooled and our blood is longing for our homeland (ie.. Iran, khune vatankhahi). NLT 5296925. Doc. Mollah Morad Kalimi from the Ports and Maritime organization had requested that a Jewish school be opened in Bushehr. This letter from the Ports and Maritime organization to the ministry of Foreign Affairs suggests that, due to lack of money, Jewish winemakers should pay the doubled tax of 200 Dinar to establish the school. The ministry replied that doubling the tax would cause problems.
